| Background |
Cuthbert was born the bastard son of a minor noble. He grew
up at his fathers manor but was constantly tormented by his older
siblings and others, partly because of his illegitimate status and
partly because he was a quiet, solitary child. While his brothers
trained in the arts of war Cuthbert pursued learning, thinking to
join the church.
One day a hermetic mage named Benedict passed by the
manor. He sensed the Gift in young Cuthbert and paused to speak to
him. Impressed with the boys intelligence he took him as his apprentice.
Cuthbert soon adapted to Covenant life and worked hard at his studies,
excelling in the Arts of Rego and Vim. For the first time in his
life he felt at home. To Cuthbert the Covenant became the source
of stability in his life - it took him in and made him welcome.
He decided that one day he would establish a Covenant of his own, to
give
others the same opportunity and help to increase the knowledge
and stability of the order. In Lyn Brenig he has this opportunity
and he's determined not to fail (not that he expects to).
Cuthbert is fairly non-descript in appearance being of average height.
He is clean shaven and tends to wear plain brown robes. Whenever he casts a spell his eyes
momentarily turn yellow.
